Miss AlisonAlison Harvey, B.S., Head Teacher
Miss Alison graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a degree in Early Childhood Education and went on to teach preschool for three years before starting her own family. All three of Miss Alison's children were VCNS students. She believes in creating a nurturing environment that is open ended and play based to allow each child to learn and grow from their interactions and experiences within the framework provided. She says, "I couldn't be happier to be teaching in this wonderful, warm, nurturing environment. I consider my teaching philosophy to be a very hands on approach to learning. I cherish watching every child grow and achieve, and learn at their own pace. My goals are to create and provide a warm, welcoming first school experience. And most of all, to HAVE FUN, while learning!" In her free time, Miss Alison enjoys boating in the summer months, spending time with her three children, and exploring nature and new places. |
